STORYFEST 2023

Welcome to the 3rd Annual STORYFEST

The Deets…
• On July 7, 2023 all participants will receive an Inspiration Package which will include a common theme, as well as a unique series of elements (i.e. a symbol, a flashback setting, a prop, etc..).
• Everyone will have the same theme, but unique elements.
• Participants will have 10 days to create a story incorporating the theme and the elements they were given.
• All stories will be presented on July 17, 2023, 6:30pm to 9:30pm @ the YTM Studio Hub.
• Each story cannot exceed 10 minutes in length.
• A story can be in the form of a play, a screenplay, a poem, a short story, a song, and 10 Minutes in length.
• Visitors or guest readers are welcome to participate.
• This year’s Adjudicator, Marni Wooding will assess the presented stories.
• Light Refreshments will be provided.
• An Award will be presented to…
o Most creative use of the Theme
o Most creative use of the Elements

The Dates to Remember
July 7 – Receive the Inspiration package at the YTM Studio Hub (7pm-9pm).
July 16 – Email your story to story “at” youtheatresociety dot com. Be sure your story is appropriate.
July 17 – StoryFest takes place at the YTM Studio Hub. All story readers to be cast by the writer. Adjudicator will make her assessments and deliver the Awards the same night. (6:30pm to 9:30pm). Light refreshments provided.
