We Believe

Storytelling helps people understand who they are and where they come from.

Our Vision

Investing in the future of our story through a culture of honour, trust, and respect. Together we ignite the imagination, inspire hope, and compel listeners to do the same.

Youtheatre Founders

Lee Jay & Jenn Bamberry

Lee Jay and Jennvieve formed YOUTHEATRE MOVEMENT to fulfill a lifelong passion of working alongside their friends and family including their four boys, Wolfe, Coltrane, Elijah, Jonphonse, and their two daughters Mæhalia and Juliette.

Where it all began...

Our History

In the Spring of 2018, we piled into a bus for an eight-hour journey from Vancouver to Prince George, British Columbia—twenty-four of us, full of anticipation and not entirely sure what lay ahead. This was to be the early inklings of what was to become The Youtheatre Movement Society.

We were embarking upon a tour of a play called Just Outside of Hope in public and private schools. With 10 shows in 6 days we didn't know what to expect — but what unfolded changed our lives forever.

The story we shared dealt with themes of human abduction, abuse, and the perseverance to hold onto hope in the face of tragedy. As we performed, we began to realize the power of what we were doing. The play brought a sense of catharsis, not only for the audiences, but for us.

Bringing community to a hurting world.
