COM·PLIC·IT – Casting

Youtheatre Movement Society is seeking an Ensemble of unabashed truth-seekers willing to hit the road for approximately six months. Participants receive honorarium, meals, accommodations, and transportation as part of a national Canadian tour presenting three dramatic works addressing the themes of Abduction, Addiction, and Racism.

COM·PLIC·IT

Directed by Raugi Yu and written by Lee Jay Bamberry (Mi'Kmaq), this intimate drama explores identity and hope surrounding the Residential School era (circa 1965). The story centres on an Indigenous girl and a Prairie boy whose lives intersect over 48 hours — a mutual encounter where forgiveness becomes the cost for hope.

  • Raven/Beare — Indigenous, ages 18–27
  • Bill — Metis optional, ages 25–45
  • Bonnie — Caucasian female, ages 18–25
  • Margarete — female, ages 18–25
  • Arséne — Caucasian male, ages 34–50
  • Warren — male, ages 25–40
  • Figure in the Woods — ages 19–60

Auditions: Vancouver, April 11–30, 2026. Rehearsals begin June/July 2026. Performances from October 2026.
