Coltrane Bamberry stands as a cornerstone of the Youtheatre Movement Society, having been an integral member of the organization since its very inception. As one of the six children born to founders Lee and Jennvieve Bamberry, Coltrane's life has been inextricably linked to the stage; he holds the singular distinction of having participated in every production Youtheatre has ever mounted.

Seeking to bridge his foundational experience with formal conservatory training, Coltrane moved to Montreal to study at the Professional Theatre (Acting) program at Dawson College. In doing so, he followed in the footsteps of his father, Lee, attending his father's Alma Mater and honing his craft at the renowned "Dome Theatre." To add a sophisticated layer of truth to his performances, he now utilizes the classical foundations of Stanislavski, the psychological realism of Uta Hagen, and the emotional depth of Lee Strasberg's "Method," blending these world-renowned techniques with the society's physical theatre roots.
While his time in Montreal was a period of significant artistic growth, it was unfortunately cut short in 2020 due to the pandemic. However, rather than allowing the hiatus to stall his career, Coltrane returned to his roots with renewed perspective. His two years of intensive study in Montreal's competitive theatre scene provided him with a technical toolkit that he has since integrated back into the family's creative endeavors.

Since returning, Coltrane has transitioned from a student-performer into a vital leader within the Youtheatre Movement Society. He works relentlessly both on and off the stage, embodying the multidisciplinary spirit of the organization. His contributions go far beyond acting; he is deeply involved in the technical, logistical, and mentorship aspects of production, ensuring that the rhythm and dynamics of the movement remain consistent for the next generation of performers.

The Youtheatre Movement Society is more than a traditional drama troupe; it is a community-driven collective that emphasizes apprenticeship and cultural storytelling. Within this framework, Coltrane serves as a bridge between the founding vision of his parents and the evolving energy of the youth members. Whether he is performing in a lead role or managing the complex "off-stage" machinery of a production, his presence ensures the continuity of the society's mission: to create a space where youth can find their voice through the power of movement and shared narrative.

Today, Coltrane remains a constant fixture of the YTM landscape, proving that for him, theatre is not just a career—it is a lifelong vocation and a family legacy.
